new phone = more photos

I've got a new phone. If you're interested, it's a Nokia 6230i. It takes photos and plays MP3s and and can connect via bluetooth to a computer. Oh, and it makes calls too. Anyway, this means I will be taking more photos because I'll nearly always have a camera with me. So get ready for more photos of random things, not just pretty pictures of sunsets and the New Forest etc, although they're nice too.

On another note, I went to a wedding of some friends of mine, Nick and Shirifa, last Friday up in London. I was filming the day, so I didn't actually take any photos - how strange. Anyway, it was very hot, but just before we sat down to dinner, the fire alarm went off and we all had to go stand outside on the street whle the fire engines turned up and checked out the building. However, it did mean that Nick and Shirifa now have a photo of them standing by the fire engine and firemen, with Nick holding a helmet under his arm. So it was worth it then!

My sister's wedding is coming up soon as well. I'm putting together a website at lauraandiain.org but its not ready yet - so don't click on it! I knew you couldn't resist temptation!

Melting

Despite getting an iced espresso thingy from Costa at lunch time (still doesn't taste the same as the ones in BC) it is FAR TOO HOT today. The probelm is made worse as our office is on the top floor, with no aircon. No one can concentrate. We sit and dream of snow, cold beer and, for some reason, frozen comets hitting us.

Photo Crazy

There's quite a few new photos I've uploaded recently, so take a look. A cricket match, drumming for justice, my birthday, a herb pot and a maple tree. What a variety!

It's my birthday!

Happy Birthday to me! We had a BBQ at the weekend using our brand new BBQ. The rain held off and everyone had a good time, I think. Tonight Steph and I are off to Southampton's newest, and only, Japanese restaurant. I haven't had sushi since returning from Vancouver, so it'll be a real treat. Whether it tastes the same here as over there, we will find out. I will post photos of the BBQ soon, so watch out.
